All About Joe

Hi!  I'm Joe Rosati from 106-7 The Beat and I host The Joe Show Monday - Friday from 2-6pm and Saturday from 4-10pm.  I answered some questions below so you can learn more about me.  Wanna know more?  E-mail or call me!  Contact info. is above.

Can you speak any other languages?  I can't even master English half the time!

Favorite sport?  Mud Wrestling

Most watched TV show?  Two and a Half Men

Favorite cartoon character?  Chris on Family Guy because he makes me feel better about myself.

Heroes?  No, I don't watch that show.  Is that show even still on?!

If you could be any celebrity who would you be?  Fred Flintstone

Favorite cartoon: The Flintstones (hence the answer above)

Boxers or briefs?  Does a thong count?

Any guilty pleasures?  Yes, but I don't feel guilty afterwards.

Favorite vacation moment?  When I taught a friend of a friend from Brazil some English while vacationing in Spain.  We were all out to dinner and let's just say he yelled out a word that he shouldn't have.  How he came up with it from the stuff I was teaching him like THE, TO, I and HELLO is beyond belief.... lol.  I swear that's all I taught him...

Do you drink?  Uh..... yes.. so I can survive.

Any fears?  Snakes

6 Things On FB To Kill Your Career
Thursday 03-24-2011 12:05pm ET

Read this on Yahoo Finance.  Thought I'd share especially if you're looking for a job.

1. Inappropriate Pictures
-- Prospective employers or clients don't want to see pictures of you partying. Seemingly innocent photos can hurt.

2. Complaining About Your Current Job -- While everyone complains about work sometimes, make sure you don't do it online.

3. Posting Conflicting Information to Your Resume
-- So it says "Harvard" on your resume and "unheard of college" on Facebook. Yeah, too bad you didn't put that Harvard graduate degree in your online profile.

4. Statuses You Wouldn't Want A Boss to See
-- "Planning" to call in sick so you can hit the slopes? Sure, you can have fun with your status -- but be smart too.

5. Not Understanding Your Security Settings
-- Figure. It. Out. If you're going to use Facebook professionally, and even if you aren't, go through your privacy options and limit who has access to what info.

6. Losing by Association
-- Watch out who can tag, post, or share to your profile. Remove it as soon as you see it, and "de-friend" questionable repeat offenders as needed. The best advice is to lock down your personal profile so that only friends you approve can see anything on that profile. Then, create a second, public profile on

Facebook purely for professional use.

Found this list to be a little interesting on who would replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men.  Personally, I think Jeremy Piven would be the best replacement.  What are your thoughts?  E-mail me and let me know.  Kinda curious,  Here's the list:

Rob Lowe

Jason Alexander

John Stamos

Woody Harrelson

Matt LeBlanc

Luke Perry

Jeremy Piven

David Hasselhoff

Britney Spears + Legal Trouble
Monday 02-21-2011 11:00am ET
Britney is accused of "ripping off" the rock ballad If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Would You Hold It Against Me by the Bellamy Brothers.

According to reports, the Bellamy Brothers claim Spears' song is too close to their own 1979 hit which topped the charts in six countries, and David and Howard Bellamy are set to met with lawyers.

"Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney. She's a talented gal. But professionally we feel completely ripped off," the Daily Mail quoted David, as telling the Daily Star.

"We will without doubt take the appropriate legal action if our attorneys agree we've been ripped off," he added.

A spokesman for Britney told the paper: "If this is now a legal matter then I am afraid we would have nothing to say until our lawyers have been alerted."

Signs You're Not Over Your Ex
Monday 02-21-2011 10:56am ET

According to YourTango.com, here are some signs you're still not over your ex:

  • Everything Reminds You of Him -- Songs, foods, smells ... everything brings back a specific memory. Time to stop lingering on the past and start bonding with people who are actually in your life.
  • You're Overcompensating -- You dress up in the hopes you'll run into him and try to create the impression that your life is really awesome. When you catch yourself in this trap, remove him from the center of your focus.
  • You Compare Everyone to Him -- Every time you meet a new guy, you make a list of all the ways he doesn't measure up to your ex. This, of course, will get you nowhere. Instead, have the discipline to measure every new man you meet on his own merits.
  • You Fantasize -- If you still harbor a secret fantasy that the two of you have a future together, you're in big trouble. This misguided belief is keeping you from living life, or at least giving someone new a chance. Move on!

5 Friends Every Woman Should Have
Tuesday 02-15-2011 11:08am ET

Found this on Oprah.com so I wanted to share:

1. The uplifter. This woman's favorite word is yes! Anything you want to do, she'll tell you (with major enthusiasm and support) to go for it.

2. The travel buddy.
A great travel buddy is flexible, adventurous, willing to try new things and comfortable with quiet time when you both need it.

3. The truth teller.
She tells it like it is, but the hard truth is spoken with love.

4. The "girls just wanna have fun" friend.
This friendship is all about spontaneous good times and laughing it up.

5. The unlikely friend.
She might be much older or younger, much richer or poorer or from a different culture-a variety of friends add richness to your life.
