‘He’s Family’ ...Wolfgang Van Halen On Reuniting With Michael Anthony !

You might have seen Wolfgang Van Halen reuniting with his father’s bandmate, the Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, earlier. Well, Wolfgang had some sweet words to say about the bassist. In a new interview with Loudwire Nights, Wolfgang reminisced about the day the two met face to face for the first time in 20 years, and even said:

“He’s family.”

Apparently, the two had already made plans to meet up before coming across each other. Still, Wolfgang seemed to be perfectly fine and satisfied with it:

“It was long overdue. I think we had planned that at least since I’ve been touring and it just worked out and it was very wonderful to see him – love that my Mom [was] there [and] my uncle Patrick who is also part of the Mammoth team, he goes way back with them. It’s really nice to have that little reunion.”

Wolfgang Van Halen and Michael Anthony celebrated their friendship during Mammoth WVH’s concert in Las Vegas on December 9.

This marked the first encounter between the original Van Halen bassist and his replacement in two decades. The change in lineup occurred in 2006 when Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolf, was just 15 years old.

Despite the passage of time, it was clarified there were no hard feelings between the two, as evidenced by a photo of them together. The bassist earlier shared a video of the Mammoth WVH show he attended and wrote in the description:

“Went to see Mammoth WVH last night here in Vegas, and they threw it down! Love ya Wolf, so great to see ya! (Proud of you brother!!)”

Additionally, Wolfgang too shared two pictures of them hugging each other and wrote:

“Ran into an old friend at the Mammoth WVH show in Vegas tonight. (Love ya, Mikey.)”

So, it’s evident that there is no bad blood between the two.
