AC/DC to Celebrate 50 Years with a 2024 World Tour? ? ?

The band is rumored to be planning a massive 50th anniversary world tour in 2024, which would mark their first full-scale tour since 2016.

Legendary Australian rockers AC/DC are strongly rumored to be planning a massive 50th anniversary world tour in 2024, marking their first full-scale tour since 2016.

While not yet officially confirmed, some mounting evidence suggests the likelihood of a major AC/DC comeback next year. The band will make their long-awaited return to the stage in October by headlining California's Power Trip Festival alongside fellow rock legends Metallica and Guns N' Roses.

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson hinted the festival show could pave the way for more concerts.

"I've got my fingers crossed - everything is going okay," Johnson said. "The most important thing about it all is the eagerness we all feel, the juices are running again."

"More dates are being looked at for next year, some big shows," he continued, hinting at the band's potential plans for next year.

If it comes true, the potential tour would coincide with the 50th anniversary of AC/DC's debut single in 1974.

An extensive 2024 tour would be the first for AC/DC since 2016's Rock or Bust World Tour, which Johnson had to depart midway through due to hearing loss concerns. But the 75-year-old has since received innovative in-ear monitor treatment allowing him to perform live again.

While AC/DC has yet to officially confirm tour plans, all signs point to the legendary rockers celebrating their 50th anniversary in epic style with one of 2024's biggest worldwide tours.

Here's hoping one of those "big shows" is in Detroit
